Bumbu minangka tembung basa Indonesia kanggo campuran rempah - rempah lan umume katon ing jeneng campuran rempah-rempah, saos lan bumbu.[1] Kamus resmi basa Indonesia njlentrehake bumbu minangka "macem-macem jinis bumbon lan tanduran sing arum lan rasane nyenengake - kaya ta jahe, kunir, lengkuas, pala lan mrico - sing digunakake kanthi ancas kanggo nambah rasa panganan." [2]
